I first became interested in web development during my 20 years in the Navy. In many of the duty stations I worked, we were responsible for maintaining our own web pages on the classified networks with simple updates, reports, and presentations. Then I wanted to make a little change to the page and then the website. The more I played with it, the more I wanted to learn. I began learning HTML on my own, then a little CSS and Javascript. I was hooked.
When I retired from the Navy, I started doing some commercial projects on my own and helped out some family members by creating / maintaining their websites. Finally, I got up the nerve to go back to school to better educate myself.
Since graduating, I've been working full time as a web developer/IT guy. I do everything from building and maintaining websites to designing pamphlets & brochures to computer maintenance to general IT admin stuff. I also freelance on the side with two other companies and have built 13 website using Wordpress and maintain several others.
